Vendor applications open for the 2024 Steenberg Festival

The Steenberg Festival market will be back this coming December and the City is encouraging vendors to get their applications in.
The festival will take place at the Allenby Drive Sports Ground in Retreat on Friday, 20 December, and Saturday, 21 December 2024.
‘The first Steenberg Festival last year was a wonderful event and huge success for the community and now we’re bringing it back and calling on vendors to once again take part,’ said Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
Like last year’s inaugural Steenberg Festival, the upcoming market will also take place just in time for visitors to have a fun pre-Christmas outing with friends and family.
‘The Steenberg Festival is one of several City-supported events that offer a platform for small businesses to sell their goods and services and increase their profile. Most vendors who had a stall at last year’s event said they would participate again, and I encourage them and other vendors to take advantage of this opportunity,’ said Alderman Vos.
Each stall will cost R75 per day.
Applications are now open and will close on Saturday, 30 November 2024.

1. 1st Floor, 44 Wale Street, Cape Town
2. Ground Floor, Administrative Block, Goodwood Municipal Offices, Corner of Voortrekker Road and De Villiers Road, Goodwood
3. Block C, Stocks and Stocks, Ntlazane Road, Khayelitsha
4. Ground Floor, Plumstead Offices, 3 Victoria Road, Plumstead
Please note that space is limited, and trading opportunities will be granted to those who meet the selection criteria. Vendors selling food and meals will need to provide a Certificate of Acceptability and a Business Licence or Hawker’s Licence with their application. They can apply for them at their nearest Environmental Health Office. The list of offices is at this link.
Once you have completed your application form, please email it to Janice.adams@capetown.gov.za or drop it off at any of the pickup locations listed above.
